Homeskillet, San Francisco

I was going to take my mom to Dottie’s True Blue Cafe, but the lineup there was insanely long. At this point, we just wanted to find the first decent looking cafe because we were little hungry. Walking toward Market street,  I saw Homeskillet at Market and 6th. It was busy inside but not super packed, and there was no waiting.

I found it very charming and cozy inside, and most diners seemed to be the regulars who adore their small neighbourhood joint. The food however, was very generic. The size of my Omelette, Salad, and Toast was huge, which was the only compliment I could think of to say. The eggs were flavourless, the salad was over dressed, and I didn’t even finish one piece of toast. But I’m a very picky toast eater, and only super amazing bread could impress me. My mom’s Ham Croissant was a little melted after it was toasted, but I guess we should have ordered it cold.
