There’s something truly magical about a summer Sunday in Whistler. This year, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the annual Wild Blue Long Table Dinner at The Range at Whistler Golf Course, and let me tell you, it was a night for the books! Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, we gathered along one massive, beautiful table. For celebrity Chef Alex Chen, this evening was all about cherishing those special moments of community and family coming together over an incredible meal.
The Ultimate Welcome
We kicked off the afternoon in the best way possible. Picture this: fresh coastal oysters paired perfectly with chilled Perrier-Jouët champagne. To make things even more exciting, the legendary team from The Keefer Bar, winners at the 2026 North America’s 50 Best, were shaking up some seriously delicious welcome cocktails. The vibes were immaculate right from the start!
A Feast to Remember
Chef Alex Chen and his stellar team put together an exquisite four-course menu (as seen in IMG_3154.jpg!) that celebrated the absolute best of the season. The pairings from Mission Hill were amazing, elevating every single bite.
The Starters: We began with vibrant Hannahbrook Farm tomatoes, an absolute highlight of the night! Served with whipped ricotta and a bright yellow tomato gazpacho, they were so refreshing. Next up was a playful Wedge Salad loaded with crispy pork belly and Samuel le Bleu cheese.
The Showstopper: The main event was a melt-in-your-mouth Slow-Roasted Prime Beef Striploin. Served with roasted shishito peppers, sweet corn cornbread, and Wild Blue’s signature yakiniku sauce, this dish completely stole the show alongside a glass of Mission Hill Compendium.
The Sweet Finish: We wrapped up the feast with a fun Peach Melba Ice Cream Sandwich, perfectly paired with a custom “Pipe Dream” cocktail crafted by The Keefer Bar!
The Patio After-Party
Just when we thought the night was winding down, the fun continued! We headed over for a post-dinner pop-up on Wild Blue’s gorgeous patio. The Keefer Bar team took over, bringing so much deliciousness and high energy to showcase exactly why they are North America’s 50 Best winners.
Between the breathtaking backdrop, the incredible food, and the warmth of old and new friends, it was the perfect summer celebration.
