This was indeed a royal treat at Mallard Lounge, Chateau Whistler. After snowboarding from dawn to dusk, and a few hours at the spa, my body seemed to have gone through a transformation: every single strand of my muscles was worked out to the limit, and after a treatment from the hot tub and the freezingly cold air filled with snowflakes, I felt relaxed, or reborn! Dressed in my finest shirt, nothing seemed more perfect than this meal served in front of our comfortable couch by a beautiful fireplace: an amazing seafood platter and a bottle of fine posseco.
I couldn’t find anything bad about this platter. Starting from the raw oysters, a delicious remedy from heaven that just put wings on us. We were instantly cured from fatigue and were ready take off! The prawns and scallops were cooked to perfection with minimum seasoning: fresh, sweet, and succulent. Smoked salmon and seafood spring rolls provide textures from different perspectives but keep the seafood umami wave going.
Life is GOOD!
