Zac Zac Japanese Curry House

I like different kinds of curry. But when people talk about Japanese curry, and the image that pops up in my head is Glico! Curry sauce made from Glico cubes is creamy, tasty and super comforting, but it is also packed with MSG and other stuff that tell your brain that it is yummiest thing in the world. I do allow myself to such guilty pleasure once a while, but I definitely have much higher level of respect for the much more elaborate curry sauces that are made from scratch.

Zac Zac Japanese Curry House has surprised me with a curry that is clearly not made from Glico or other Glico alike processed products. I could taste herbs and spices in the sauce. The sauce is very light, slightly sweetened and not very spicy, which is pleasantly tasty with hints of other styles of curry but also with its own unique buy xanax 2mg elements. Also the rice has a decent quality, and the portion is quite perfect with the amount of curry served. The only issue I had today, with my Katsu Curry ($8.28), was the pork cutlet – the piece of pork was too thin, making the meat neither tender nor juicy underneath all that crunchy breading.

I could however, imagine how some people would disagree with me, as they are so used to the idea of eating thick gravey-like Japanese curry sauce. Well go get a pack of Glico and make it at home!

The yes’s:
– Good flavour on a unique curry sauce
– Decent rice

The no’s:
– poorly executed pork cutlet
