I have heard mostly good things about this place, food wise anyway. Our girl <a href=\"http:\/\/www.drunkennoms.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Food Wench <\/a>was excited because she had some social media connection with one of the chefs, well you know, a foodie crush on a young good looking chef. As we were seated and found out the young chef was not in, although no drama that I was hoping for, I was\u00a0still eager to check out\u00a0to the place\u00a0that claims to be &#8216;gastronomically daring&#8217; with\u00a0their creations.<\/p>\n<p>Boasting similar decors and vibes with our last destination, <strong><em>Tuc Craft Kitchen<\/em><\/strong>, this place has a long and narrow dining room, and a darker ambiance, which some might find romantic.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8859\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8859\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/image-9.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-8859 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/image-9.jpeg\" alt=\"Wildebeest, Gastown\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/image-9.jpeg 900w, https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/image-9-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/image-9-768x512.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8859\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Wildebeest, Gastown<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Let&#8217;s go over our Cocktail Crawl format &#8211; there are 3 of us, and we are ordering one cocktail each and one dish to share.<\/p>\n<p>Most cocktail lovers will be impressed with\u00a0their extensive menu of mixologist creations, which is categorized in 4 sections:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;light, clean, and refreshing&#8221;,<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;complex unusual, and bright&#8221;,<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;thoughtful, subtle, and herbaceous&#8221;, and<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;bolder, darker, and richer&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8362\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8362\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-38.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-8362 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-38.jpeg\" alt=\"Cocktails at Wildebeest, Gastown\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-38.jpeg 900w, https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-38-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-38-768x512.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8362\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Cocktails at Wildebeest, Gastown<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>At this point, I am\u00a0starting to have some\u00a0idea about\u00a0how\u00a0my\u00a0buddies\u00a0like for their cocktail drinks.<\/p>\n<p>With her bright and lively personality, <a href=\"http:\/\/vieamaggi.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Maggi<\/a> chose the <strong>Fresh Prince<\/strong> ($12) from the &#8220;light, clean, and refreshing&#8221; category, a frozen blended cocktail with spearmint, Cuban rum, apple and Fernet Branca, \u00a0with a beautiful dark gold\u00a0liquid\u00a0crawling\u00a0into the slushy, which kind of reminds of me the popular Bellini that young women love up here, or if down south in the states, a Daiquiri but more visually pleasing. \u00a0As I do find the drink refreshing, I&#8217;m not exactly a huge slushy fan &#8211; I like my Margarita on rocks rather blended if that explains it better. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8357\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8357\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-33.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-8357 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-33.jpeg\" alt=\"Fresh Prince \" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-33.jpeg 900w, https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-33-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-33-768x512.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8357\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fresh Prince<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.drunkennoms.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Food Wench<\/a>\u00a0like her drinks hard and boozy, like\u00a0punch-in-your-face hard! So her\u00a0<strong>Bombs Away\u00a0<\/strong>($12) from the &#8220;bolder, darker, and richer&#8221; section definitely suits her needs. Loaded with\u00a0rye, Italian vermouth, cynar, and herbal liquer, bold and powerful, she was mostly\u00a0happy about it except the sweetness in the sweet vermouth. But I find\u00a0the sweetness provides a good balance to the drink\u00a0for my own taste.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_8356\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8356\" style=\"width: 900px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-32.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-8356 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-32.jpeg\" alt=\"Bomb\u2019s Away\" width=\"900\" height=\"600\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-32.jpeg 900w, https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-32-300x200.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/07\/image-32-768x512.jpeg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 900px) 100vw, 900px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-8356\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Bombs Away<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As for myself, the indecisive Libra who always tries to find the most <a style=\"text-decoration:none; font-weight:normal; color:#000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.levitra-meds.net\/\"> where to buy levitra over the counter <\/a> balanced solution in everything, I was contemplating between the &#8220;complex unusual, and bright&#8221; and &#8220;the\u00a0thoughtful, subtle, and herbaceous&#8221;, and finally settled on the <strong>Horseradish Sour\u00a0<\/strong>($12) in the latter group. Featuring\u00a0London Dry Gin, lemon, horseradish, honey, egg white and black pepper. And boy could I make a better choice? \u00a0As I constantly repeat on my blog, I&#8217;m a gin lover. I love the botanic quality of the liquor, which is often complemented\u00a0with citrus, some herbal or savoury elements, and a dash of sweetness for balance. This cocktail definitely hits all right the spots. \u00a0I can taste horseradish&#8217;s pronounced presence but it is softened by lemon,\u00a0foamy egg white\u00a0and a hint of honey, and\u00a0finished by a\u00a0brilliant touch of black pepper. Constantly seeking the most whimsical dining experience, Maggi heard about the <strong>Bone Marrow Luge <\/strong>($19 for the Bone Marrow, and $3 per Luge shot) offered here. But what the heck is a luge? \u00a0As they explained to me, I got\u00a0really \u00a0excited. \u00a0But first we have to eat the bone marrow, which is consumed like at most restaurants with some bread on the side.
