Just coming out of the launch party for the film Dreamchasers<\/a> by Next Media Films<\/a> in Gastown, I suggested hanging out a bit more over coffee to my fellow food bloggers, Every Day is a Food Day<\/a>, Foodgressing <\/a>and The Lazy Vlogger<\/a>, who all\u00a0attended the event. \u00a0Although we had a good\u00a0time, it was pretty loud at the venue for us to actually talk\u00a0to each other.\u00a0We found ourselves inside of CoffeeBar in the heart of Gastown, a long and narrow space\u00a0with trendy\u00a0Gastown features like high ceiling, wood-and-brick structure, and attractive light fixtures. Besides serving the\u00a049th Parallel<\/a>\u00a0coffee products, I also noticed\u00a0an impressive display of baked goods, wraps, and deli\u00a0sandwiches behind their glass counter.<\/p>\n

We had some coffee and tasted a few desserts. My Chai Latte<\/strong> was quite delicious, and went\u00a0well with what we ordered for our sweet tooth. I found the Chocolate Brownie Bar<\/strong> and the Lemon Coconut Ba<\/strong>r low in sweetness and seemed quite healthy with their ingredients. Although Foodgressing<\/em> thought\u00a0her\u00a0Tiramisu was a little dry, I quite liked the texture. But it was definitely not the classic Tiramisu you would expect at an authentic Italian bakery.<\/a><\/p>\n

Overall, I find Coffeebar as a typical Gastown shop with tasteful decors and posh products. The baked goods we tried were not bad, although not amazing. It would make a great spot for a romantic date with the charming surroundings.<\/p>\n
