I attended the Seattle Wine & Food Week<\/strong> as media and I was fortunate to receive an offer to stay at Hotel Andra for the media experiences. Although the weekend was filled with a lot of food and drinks, arranged by the event or by my Seattle friends, I still had a chance to\u00a0sneak in a lunch at Lola<\/strong>,\u00a0 a lovely restaurant at the hotel and one of the Best Brunch spots by Gayot in 2020. The eatery is run by renowned chef and author Tom Douglas, featuring a Greek and North Africa-inspired menu prepared with fresh in-season Pacific Northwest ingredients, such as Anderson Valley lamb, Penn Cove shellfish and wild King salmon.<\/p>\n

The main dining room is always fully packed for weekend brunch.\u00a0 Waiting for a table usually takes at least 30 minutes for walk-in’s. But if you are just by yourself or in s small group, sitting at the bar is the best option. I was sitting by the window in the bar area, sipping the Lord Bergamot Earl Grey by Smith Tea<\/a>, and bathing in the morning sun.\u00a0 What a fantastic Sunday morning.<\/p>\n

I had always loved eggs but decided to get a hearty meal by ordering the\u00a0Lola lamb burger<\/strong>\u00a0($19). This is one of the best lamb burgers that I have tasted in my life. The Anderson Valley lamb was full of flavours, cooked to medium rare by default and perfection in texture, and served with house made spicy ketchup and chickpea fries. The fries are shaped like ladyfinger and incredibly crunchy. If all other dishes here are just as exotic and sexy as the lamb burger, I have to bring a group of friends here and try everything on their dinner menu!<\/p>\n

Final thoughts<\/h3>\n

What an incredible lunch – quick by exceptionally flavourful.\u00a0 This is a perfect ending of a foodie adventure of Seattle, making you want to come back soon. The lamb burger is delicious, a perfect representation of the restaurant where the Mediterranean meets the Pacific Northwest. I can’t wait to come back to try the other dishes.<\/p>\n
