I was invited to the very first of the annual Skookum Festival<\/a> as media.\u00a0 I was super excited to check out the world-class acts of\u00a0MUSIC<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0ART<\/a>, but also amazing\u00a0FOOD<\/a>.<\/p>\n

For MUSIC<\/strong>, a highly curated lineup of acts from well-known to emerging performers\u00a0 from the West Coast, across Canada and around the world, were performed on forest-fringed stages in Stanley Park.\u00a0For ART<\/strong>, massive collaborative murals, interactive installations, innovative sculptures and communal art activities are to be discovered with the spectacular backdrops of nature.\u00a0 Last but not least, FOOD<\/strong>\u00a0lovers were offered one-of-the-kind culinary experiences w by highlighting Vancouver\u2019s most popular eateries, along with award-winning craft breweries, winemakers, and mixologists.<\/p>\n

Here is the footage captured on my camera to share with everyone.<\/p>\n

Day 1<\/h2>\n

We started around 6:30 pm and the walk along the sea wall from coal harbour to Stanley Park was filled with the great energy from the thousands of visitors venturing toward the venue.<\/p>\n

The main stage (SKYLINE stage) was spectacular.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We spent some admiring the artworks such as the giant murals.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Time for some dinner! We decided to eat at\u00a0\u00a0Mr. Bannock<\/a>‘s indigenous cuisine food truck.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\u00a0We were satisfied by\u00a0the award-winning Beef Bannock Taco<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

And we also tried the Dessert Bannock. As Bannock is fried bread that’s like savoury donut, the dessert version is exactly like an inside out donut. It was delicious.<\/p>\n

Many other food trucks were offering incredible food at the Food Truck Park.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Time to get a drink! We stopped at the Liberty Distillery<\/a> tent for some cocktails, choices of Endeavour Gin Mule<\/strong> and The Liberty Caipiroska<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

At the Wine Bar<\/strong>, folks can enjoy a variety of great BC wines.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Time for some amazing concert acts on the MOUNTAIN STAGE<\/strong>., featuring the Montreal-based Chromeo<\/a> as the very first highlight of the evening.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \u00a0\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We also check out the other stages that evening.<\/p>\n

The FOREST STAGE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The MEADOW STAGE<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Long Table Dinner<\/strong> of the evening was featuring Edible Canada<\/strong> and the Ocean Wise Ambassador, Ned Bell<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A cute illuminated\u00a0Hammock Park<\/strong> offers a resting area for the visitors.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

While the concerts were on the forest stages, we took a minute to appreciate the beautiful back drop of Downtown Vancouver<\/strong>.\u00a0 We are so blessed to live in such a beautiful city.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \u00a0\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We also check out the pop-up restaurants by the city’s popular eateries such as Fat Mao<\/strong>, Bao Bei<\/strong>, and Belgard Kitchen<\/strong>. Here’s a list of all the participants<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And we also enjoy the performance from Arkells<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What an amazing time that we had.<\/h3>\n

Day 2<\/h2>\n

The rain on Day 2 did not stop the enthusiasm of the visitors who were passionate about MUSIC, ART, and great FOOD.<\/p>\n

Grammy Award winner St Vincent<\/strong><\/a> performing on SKYLINE STAGE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Virgin Mobile VIP Lounge<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The whole festival was filled with red rain ponchos offered by Virgin Mobile<\/strong>, and it would be the incredible scene of SKOOKUM<\/strong> remembered for many years to come<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Food Truck Park<\/strong> and the Pop-Up Restaurant Area<\/strong> were filled with food lovers.<\/p>\n

We were back to the MOUNTAIN STAGE<\/strong> for more extraordinary performance by Stereophonics<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mag<\/a> had to get a shirt for her favourite band, The KILLERS<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And look at me, getting a TATOO at the Jack Daniel<\/strong> tent.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a> \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Another fantastic night filled with music, food, and entertainment.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
