Vancouver has become a known city for some of the best cocktails in the world.\u00a0 As I have started Vancouver Gourmet Tours<\/a> with my associates,\u00a0and finally have a chance to turn my cocktail crawl concept into a ticket-selling event that will benefit other cocktail lovers in the city, showcasing the amazing cocktails and food from some of the best local restaurants. We decided to start the series in Yaletown, the\u00a0trendiest neighbourhood\u00a0in Downtown Vancouver, presenting everyone the Yaletown Cocktail Crawl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The line-up of restaurants\/bars is impressive as they are unique and incredibly interesting in their own genre.<\/p>\n

Registration<\/h2>\n

The registration will start at XOXOLAT<\/a><\/strong>, a boutique chocolate shop and an edible gallery of all things chocolate, specializing in Single Origin and Estate chocolates, and, treats pairing fun & unusual flavours with chocolate. Having drawn inspiration from the classic European chocolaterie<\/em>, XOXOLAT<\/strong> carries its own brand and includes the wondrous creations of award-winning chocolatiers. Guests will check in here and receive a welcoming prosecco and snacks.<\/p>\n

The Crawl<\/h2>\n

Guests will be assigned to one of the 3 cocktail crawl groups, which will be led by two co-captains, and follow a designed route to visit 3 of the participating restaurants\/bars. At each restaurant, each guest will select one cocktail\u00a0from the cocktail menu and one tasting bite of the restaurant’s signature appetizer.\u00a0 Discount<\/strong> on food items on the regular menus of the restaurants\/bars will be offered at any of the stops.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>A twist on a gin sour using our house-made Lambrusco and blackberry reduction. The berries and wine in the reduction pair perfectly with the juniper-forward gin used in this cocktail. Garnished with a sprig of thyme and a dehydrated lemon slice, it\u2019s the perfect refreshing cocktail for spring.<\/p>\n

Hall of Fame
\n<\/b>This twist of a Manhattan is created with Canadian whiskey, elderflower liqueur and Fernet Blanca. The high content of rye in the whiskey pairs beautifully with the aromatic flavours of Fernet, and is sweetened with elderflower liqueur. Served in a coupe glass with an orange peel makes it a well-balanced and sophisticated cocktail for any occasion.<\/p>\n
