Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West<\/strong><\/a> (ICCCW<\/strong>)\u00a0honoured me by inviting me to their VIP reception at the opening of Vancouver Fashion Week<\/strong><\/a> (VFW<\/strong>), as part of the “The True Italian Taste” initiative by the chamber. The reception welcomed guests with delicious\u00a0prosecco and different types of authentic Italian gourmet food, and it was such a great occasion to celebrate the best of Italy in food, wine, and fashion.<\/p>\n

We were served finest Italian\u00a0DOP<\/strong>\u00a0&\u00a0IGP<\/strong>\u00a0cheeses, bread\u00a0and cured meat delicacies and a variety of bread. The\u00a0DOP<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(protected designation of origin) and\u00a0IGP<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0(protected geographical indication) labels are the standards of 100% authentic products from Italy, and represented by\u00a0The Extraordinary Italian Taste campaign<\/strong>, and supported by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry starting in 2016.<\/p>\n
