Yaletown is one of Vancouver\u2019s premier dining districts. Taste of Yaletown\u00a02017 edition<\/strong><\/a> is now on until October 27th<\/strong>, inviting local and traveling food lovers for the best dining experience at reasonable price.<\/p>\n

This year, special dishes will be served at 26 premier restaurants throughout the neighbourhood,\u00a0 featuring 3-course meals themed \u2018Parings and Sharings<\/strong>\u2019 at set prices of $25, $35, and $45, and offering exclusive\u00a0culinary creations, innovative pairings, and special menus.<\/p>\n

Fayuca is one of the latest addition to Yaletown’s Vibrant food scene, freshly nominated for Canada’s Best New Restaurant 2017 by enRoute Magazine. They represent the\u00a0Northern Mexican cuisine, which has a strong tight to South Cal across the border,\u00a0 featuring the Mexican flavours\u00a0through Pacific Northwest ingredients and the freely gathered idea. This has made them one of the fascinating restaurants in the area.<\/p>\n

The Grilled Cactus<\/strong> is served in the form of salsa and with flour tortilla and tortilla chips. The warm and luscious halloumi cheese gives is quite lovely in this dish.<\/p>\n

As the\u00a0main course, either the Grilled Cauliflower<\/strong> or the Flank Steak<\/strong>\u00a0came in such rustic presentation but with the refined details and bold flavours.<\/p>\n

Although not on their Taste of Yaletown menu, the\u00a0Oxtail Fideo Pasta with Pine Nut Picada and Aioli<\/strong>\u00a0($18) was a fantastic dish.<\/p>\n

For desserts, besides the Flourless Chocolate Cake<\/strong>, we were also offered to taste the Bu\u00f1uelo<\/strong>, with fried flour tortillas, sugar cane syrup, grilled mango, gooseberries and vanilla ice cream, and the\u00a0 Quequito<\/strong>,\u00a0prepared with chickpea sponge cake, vanilla ice cream, candied pistachios.<\/p>\n
