<\/a>We arrived early around 11:30 and it was pretty empty inside the restaurant. The place is spacious and can fit in quite a few big groups. The interior deco looked new although not quite modern. Everything looked spotless, however.<\/p>\n The server lady was serving us with a huge smile. But my friend has warned me about the service when this place is packed. So luckily that was not the case for me.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We ordered the $15 lunch set for 2. It was a lot of food! And the idea is similar to what I had before at Sura Korean Restaurant<\/strong> (at both their Downtown Vancouver <\/a>and Richmond<\/a> locations) – there are 9 different dishes for 2 to share, not counting the small banchan dishes.<\/p>\n The banchan dishes were the usual ones, 2 types of kimchi, cooked potatoes and marinated bean sprouts. All tasted pretty good.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We were served a small bowl of\u00a0Pumpkin Soup<\/strong> first and it was subtly sweet and creamy.<\/p>\n Fish lovers like me would like the Grilled Croaker<\/strong>. But there are small bones in the fish that needs to be careful of.<\/p>\n Great flavours on the Korean Beef Bulgogi<\/strong> and there was a lot of meat too.\u00a0 The beef tastes better eaten along with rice!<\/p>\n The Korean Sweet and Sour Pork<\/strong> here is similar to the Chinese version, but it doesn’t have the bright red colour. The sauce is quite sweet, and not very sour at all.\u00a0 There is a lot of breading on the pork as well, which I’m not a big of.<\/p>\n I like the small crisps on\u00a0top of the Garden Salad<\/strong>. The salad dressing is quite creamy, looking just like the creamy pumpkin soup.<\/p>\n I really liked the Japchae<\/strong>. It was pan fried nicely and with a lot of crunchy fresh vegetables.<\/p>\n The Tofu Hot Pot<\/strong> was more like a hot soup in a stone bowl. It was good but we were too busy eating all the dishes, and it got cold quickly.<\/p>\n The Kimchi Pancake<\/strong> was another my favourite of the meal, as it was perfectly fried, leaving a crunchy and delicious crust.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Like at most of the Korean places, the meal here was finished with a bowl of Dessert Rice Soup<\/strong>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Flavour wise, the $15 lunch set is just as good as the one I tasted at Sura (both Downtown and Richmond location), although the excitement of having so many courses for such a cheap price started to wear off a little bit. I really liked the Beef Bulgogi and the Grilled Croaker. Korean staple dishes such as Japchae and Kimchi Pancake were nicely prepared too. This is an awesome deal and it is worth revisiting if I live in Coquitlam. But is it worth the\u00a0traveling for me? Probably not.
