<\/a><\/p>\nLet’s add one of those Onsen Eggs<\/strong> (soft boiled). Why can’t we have this in our supermarkets or convinience stores?<\/p>\n The soft boiled egg is very easy to peel.<\/p>\n Each single egg comes\u00a0with a little package of sauce. Very thoughtful!<\/p>\n And let’s add some of this squid jerky for more texture. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n Tada… Breakfast is served!<\/p>\n We decided just use Suica<\/strong>, the rechargeable far card to pay for transportation as we go.<\/p>\n Our longest and most expensive ride would be the Shinkansen<\/strong> (bullet train) ride from outside of Tokyo to Kyoto, which would cost around 13,000 yen ($130 USD). \u00a0A 7-day Japan Rail Pass<\/strong> is around $29,000 ($290 USD). \u00a0Since we are only staying for 9 days, traveling by train one way (Tokyo – Kyoto – Osaka<\/strong>), and flying out from Osaka, so we found it a little more flexible to just use Suica<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Got our Suica<\/strong>, we decided to do a little bit sight seeing.\u00a0We loosely followed this recommendation for our next 2 days of exploring:\u00a0https:\/\/www.insidejapantours.com\/blog\/2015\/05\/08\/what-to-do-with-48-hours-in-tokyo\/\u00a0<\/a>.<\/p>\n The famous Shibuya Crossing<\/strong>!<\/p>\n Man… So many people here on Saturday morning!<\/p>\n My first Street Vending Machine<\/strong> experience in Japan!<\/p>\n Shibuya 109<\/strong> is known for fashion and shopping.<\/p>\n There are thousands of restaurants in the area.<\/p>\n We ended up getting Ramen<\/strong>!<\/p>\n The ramen is tasty, although the cloudy broth is very rich, almost a little too rich for me. Love the egg though. It just makes me realize we do have really good ramen back home in Vancouver.<\/p>\n Cheeky!<\/p>\n A nice residential area in Shibuya.<\/p>\n Let’s get your customized Converse sneakers here!<\/p>\n A designer clothing store.<\/p>\n A line-up for lobster rolls!<\/p>\n It’s a beautiful autumn in Tokyo!<\/p>\n There are a lot of second\u00a0hand clothing store in Harajuku<\/strong> and you can walk and shop here for HOURS!<\/p>\n We are in Harajuku, and it’s flooded with people here!<\/p>\n Louis and I were still a little tired from last night. So we decided to escape from the crowd, and go\u00a0somewhere with some fresh air.\u00a0We came to Meiji Shrine<\/strong>, the Shinto shrine that is dedicated to the deified spirits of Emperor Meiji<\/strong> and his wife, Empress Sh?ken<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Some visitors are dressed in beautiful kimono, the traditional Japanese outfit. I think those girls\u00a0are here for a wedding. They look absolutely stunning!<\/p>\n Sake brewed for the emperors all over the years!<\/p>\n Emperor Meiji is the first modern monarch of Japan, and he opened the doors of Japan for the western culture. He liked wine too!<\/p>\n There was a Chrysanthemum Exhibition<\/strong> that’s going on here.
