Overrated?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Once I saw a guy with a tattoo consisting of Chinese characters. The tattoo was nicely done itself but I couldn&#8217;t help laughing at the silly meaning of those character&#8230; But when people around him do not read Chinese, the tattoo is just a beautiful piece of artwork. And my experience at Bao Bei reminds me of the tattoo.<\/p>\n<figure style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/20140313-174242.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Fried Pork Belly @Bao Bei\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pickydiners.com\/www\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/20140313-174242.jpg\" alt=\"Fried Pork Belly @Bao Bei\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Fried Pork Belly @Bao Bei<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>I could see why a lot of people would appreciate the restaurant. \u00a0Here they served a number of \u00a0traditional Chinese inspired dishes and ingredients that were rather new to the majority of the customers. And most of the dishes had cool Chinese sounding names. The food was fresh, and nothing <a style=\"text-decoration:none; font-weight:normal; color:#000;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tramadolstore.net\/ \"> tramadol buy online <\/a> tasted bad. \u00a0To people who may not \u00a0eat traditional Chinese very often, they would consider the dining experience here unique and interesting.<\/p>\n<p>Being chinese and a \u00a0foodie, I however did not see much reinvention or any brilliant tributes to the original dishes; as a passionate home cook, I was not inspired. \u00a0The food tasted okay. But when I thought about I had to pay for a rather pricey bill on something I could have cooked better at home, it was unfulfilling.<\/p>\n<p>I applauded to its success.
